		<description>mmmmm  - it&#039;s probably gone bad by now. 4 years is a little long - I bet that it is rancid. Smell and taste a little bit - it really should be fairly odor-less, so if it has an &quot;off&quot; smell or smells acrid or...weird, it&#039;s gone bad. *maybe* you&#039;ll be lucky because it was stashed in the dark (light tends to break down oils more quickly), but it&#039;s doubtful. here&#039;s an interesting page on wikipedia about the science of why fats go rancid:
