This is such a fantastic idea! I love old recipes too, they are great for pasture raised meats, and fresh produce because back in the day things were raised well. These look really great!:)

That’s great – I got a copy of the 19th century classic, Mrs. Beeton’s Book of Household Management, at Christmas. It’s a fascinating read and I’ve been meaning to try some recipes from it. Really must get to that!

i think you should call it a bacon buffin (biscuit/muffin). looks delicious….
